Christ in Us

Today we are a never-before-seen people. The problem is, many of us don’t know who we are. In fact, maybe none of us has reached the full understanding of our freedom in Christ. We identify with our worldly roots, our family traits, the work we do, and with judgment according to our past mistakes. Non of these encapsulate our core character. Jesus Christ gave us a new identity and purpose, and paid the price for our shortcomings.

He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven; His Atonement is complete. However, this detail is only the beginning; it’s part of God’s larger design. His genuine work is the Holy Spirit breathing life into our human spirits, transforming us into new beings. Wherever we go, we take Him with us. Where we walk is holy ground because we carry His presence. In every man, woman, and child carrying His Spirit, Christ confronts Satan. We did nothing to gain this gift, and nothing we do takes it away. The ministry of bringing Christ into every experience is open to everyone. Go forth in power from heaven.

About The Author

Mary Kirkpatrick is the author of God’s Master Plan for Today, a Bible study devotional, the first in a series of four—undergirded with the life-changing power that was kept secret from before the world began—Christ in us (Colossians 1:27). With her weekly inspirational posts on Facebook, Mary highlights life’s victory that is evident when ordinary people awaken to their identity as vessels of the risen Christ.

As the Holy Spirit indwells broken hearts, even broken lives, we find our place working with Christ wherever we are; no one is exempt. She finds her place in ministry at her church as an In Christ’s Image Training Facilitator, and as a member of the Prayer Team, Children's Ministry Team, and Community Coordinator Team.

When she’s not teaching or writing, Mary loves camping, playing disc golf, and finding inspiration in books like The Divine Romance and God So Close.
